Rex J. Pace is a nationally recognized accessible design expert with more than 35 years of experience creating built environments that work effectively for people with disabilities. He most recently served as Senior Advisor for Accessible Design at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), focusing on implementation and compliance with the Fair Housing Act, Section 504, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the Architectural Barriers Act (ABA).

Rex previously served as the National Accessibility Officer at the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), managed the technical assistance program at the U.S. Access Board, and worked in the U.S. Department of Justice Disability Rights Section on accessibility enforcement and technical assistance. He began his career under the mentorship of Ron Mace, FAIA, a pioneer of accessible and universal design, and has remained an advocate for universal design principles. Rex is known for translating complex requirements into clear, buildable design solutions.
