We are thrilled to honor Meghan Simecek, Texas Accessibility Group, with the 2025 APA President’s Award. As 2025 APA Texas Chapter President and Chair of the Jim Boyce Memorial Scholarship Committee, Meghan has shown exceptional leadership. Her dedicated advocacy in dialogues with TDLR on RAS obligations has been invaluable. In addition to her RAS duties, Meghan continues to inspire as an Interior Design educator at Houston Community College.

LuÃsa Janssen Harger Brown
LuÃsa Janssen Harger Brown is a Senior Accessibility Consultant at Code Consultants, Inc., where she specializes in accessibility compliance and solutions for architectural projects across the United States. She is also involved in code development as a member of the Accessibility Technical Committee of the next NYC Building Code and the ICC A117.1 Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities committee. Based in Brooklyn, she balances her technical expertise in accessible design with a passion for travel and the performing arts.
