Jennifer has dedicated her 30+ year career advocating for the inclusion of people with disabilities in parks, recreatio,n and tourism as an ADA compliance consultant, instructor, researcher, and ADA Coordinator. She has diverse expertise in the ADA accessibility standards specific to recreation and the interplay with the Title II program access requirements. She piloted the survey process for the National Park Service and has led accessibility assessments of more than 3,000 park and recreation facilities. Jennifer served as the principal investigator on the accessibility of playground surfaces, a longitudinal study funded by the U.S. Access Board. This research is the most comprehensive study of accessible surfaces to date. Currently, she serves as the vice chair of the RESNA Committee on Ground and Floor Surfaces.
