A note from your incoming 2025 APA President
“Stronger Together”
As we enter a new year, this is an opportunity to welcome the members of the Accessibility Professional Association (APA), now over 300 strong. As the association surpasses 300 members, it is important that we recognize that together we are stronger, thus our annual theme of “Stronger Together."

As we continue to expand and develop new chapters, we are reminded that the coming year’s theme, “Stronger Together,” clearly identifies our diversity and progressive outlook on accessibility. Whether we address the issue of accessibility as an architect, engineer, accessibility advocate, ACTCP certified ADA coordinator, a building official, a building owner, an accessibility consultant, Registered Accessibility Specialist, or anyone providing or concerned about individual access, our collective goal is to provide that access and inclusion of all. And while we as a society have made significant strides towards accessibility, these efforts require continued diligence, commitment, and active participation.
I look forward to a new year of growth and the continued participation of current and new members. You can help with this growth by becoming involved with the APA through committee participation and, if desired, through leadership participation at the APA level or at the chapter level. You can learn more about these opportunities at the 2026 APA Conference or contact me directly.
I am looking forward to a new and exciting year. I hope to see you at the 2026 APA Conference.
Walter Qualls, 2026 APA President
